SEAL — Terms of Service

1. Parties

These Terms of Service govern the legal relationship between Arkon Technology (“Seal” or “we”) and the person using the Seal application (“User” or “you”).

2. What Seal Is

Seal turns verbal promises and agreements between two people into a digital record, sealed with Ed25519 cryptographic signatures from each party, verifiable on a public webpage without trusting either device.

Seal:

• Records who signed what, when.
• Maintains an append-only audit chain per agreement.
• Once an agreement is in the sealed state, the content cannot be modified — not even by us.

Seal does NOT:

• Decide legal validity of agreements.
• Bind parties with government-verified identity (e.g. notarial witnessing).
• Issue legally certified e-signatures (ETSI/ESHS) by default.

Seal fills the “here’s a note of what we agreed” need. It can serve as evidence in disputes but final legal effect is at the court’s discretion.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

1. You must be at least 18 years old to use Seal. [confirm]
2. Each device is assigned a unique UUID on first launch. We do not link this to any government ID or email unless you verify a phone number, at which point that phone number is associated with your device identity.
3. Cryptographic private keys are generated and stored on your device only. We cannot access them.
4. If you lose your device, past signatures cannot be re-signed from a new device — a new key is generated and past agreements are shown as read-only history.

4. Acceptable Use

You may NOT use Seal for:

• Unlawful, violent, misleading, or fraudulent content.
• Creating agreements on behalf of others without their consent.
• Automated spam or load that disrupts service.
• Content infringing intellectual property or copyright.

Violations can result in account or device suspension without notice.

5. Intellectual Property

• The app code, brand (“SEAL”, “getseal.app”), logo, UI design, and documentation are property of Arkon Technology.
• Content created by users belongs to the users; we process it only to operate the service.

6. Fees

Seal is currently free. If paid plans are introduced, users will be notified at least 30 days in advance.

7. Availability

We aim for uninterrupted service but:

• Maintenance, infrastructure failures, or upstream provider issues (Railway, MongoDB Atlas, Twilio) may cause downtime.
• Seal is not liable for indirect or direct damages arising from such outages.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Seal does not guarantee fulfillment of the promises parties make to each other.
• Legal validity of content is subject to local law and court discretion.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid by the User in the given year (zero for free usage).

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are subject to the [Istanbul / Ankara / …] Central Courts and Execution Offices.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app; continued use after acceptance is required.
