SEAL — Terms of Service

1. Parties

These Terms of Service govern the legal relationship between Arkon Technology (“Seal” or “we”) and the person using the Seal application (“User” or “you”).

2. What Seal Is

Seal turns verbal promises and agreements between two people into a digital record, sealed with Ed25519 cryptographic signatures from each party, verifiable on a public webpage without trusting either device.

Seal fills the “here’s a note of what we agreed” need. It can serve as evidence in disputes but final legal effect is at the court’s discretion.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

  1. You must be at least 18 years old to use Seal.
  2. Each device is assigned a unique UUID on first launch. We do not link this to any government ID or email unless you verify a phone number, at which point that phone number is associated with your device identity.
  3. Cryptographic private keys are generated and stored on your device only. We cannot access them.
  4. If you lose your device, past signatures cannot be re-signed from a new device — a new key is generated and past agreements are shown as read-only history.

Every account starts with a 3-month free trial during which sealed receipts are unlimited. When the trial ends, creating a new receipt requires a SEAL Plus subscription. Receipts you have already sealed stay accessible and publicly verifiable regardless of your plan.

Plans. SEAL Plus Monthly (renews every month) and SEAL Plus Yearly (renews every year). Both renew automatically.

Introductory offer. Eligible new subscribers get their first 3 months free. Eligibility is determined by the app store, and the offer can be used only once per store account.

Price. The price is shown in the app next to the purchase button, in your local currency, before you confirm. Prices differ by country or region.

How you pay. In the iOS and Android apps the subscription is sold only through the platform’s own in-app purchase system — Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing. We never ask for card details inside the app. On the getseal.app website, payment is handled by Polar, acting as merchant of record.

Renewal and cancellation. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period and your store account is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel at any time in your store account settings (App Store: Settings -> your name -> Subscriptions; Google Play: Play Store -> Payments and subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Refunds. Purchases made through Apple or Google are refunded under their own policies; we cannot issue those refunds directly. For purchases made on getseal.app, contact support@getseal.app.

If we change prices, existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are subject to the Ankara Central Courts and Execution Offices.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app; continued use after acceptance is required.
