Account Deletion
If you want to delete your Seal account and all associated data, this page tells you how. We accept deletion requests by email and follow the steps required by Google Play’s account-deletion policy.
How do I request deletion?
Send your request to:
Subject line: Account Deletion Request
Include the following in the body:
- The phone number you registered with (E.164 format,
e.g.
+905XXXXXXXXX) - A short note such as “Please delete my account and all associated data”
How long does it take?
- We process requests within 30 days at most (typically 1-7 days).
- You’ll receive a confirmation reply on the same email thread when the deletion completes.
What data is deleted?
The following personal data is permanently deleted:
- Phone number and verification records
- Display name
- Device signing keys (your Ed25519 keypairs)
- Push notification tokens
- Pairing session history
- User identifier in analytics logs
What data is retained?
The following data is kept to satisfy legal obligations:
- Sealed receipts (signed agreements): These cannot be deleted because they have legal evidentiary value, and the counterparty retains their own copy of each sealed receipt — you cannot unilaterally withdraw from an agreement once both parties have signed. To remove or void a sealed agreement, you need to coordinate with the counterparty or, where necessary, pursue legal remedies.
- Anonymized audit-log entries: The actor identity is anonymized; only the timestamp, action type, and cryptographic signature digest are kept. Retained for 7 years to comply with the Turkish Code of Obligations and KVKK retention requirements.
After deletion
- Deleted data cannot be restored.
- You can re-register with the same phone number — this creates a fresh account with no connection to the old one.
- Your previously sealed agreements remain in the counterparties’ records.
