When to use it
- A photographer, tutor or personal trainer books a session with a client.
- You book a service at home, such as cleaning or a repair visit.
- A venue, band or caterer is booked for an event.
- A deposit is paid to hold a date.
What goes on the receipt
- Who provides the service?
- The service provider is named as the responsible party; the other person is the service recipient.
- Date and time
- When the service takes place.
- Fee
- The price, any deposit, and when the rest is paid.
- Location
- Where the service takes place, or that it is online.
How it works
- 01 Tap "New Receipt", pick the template and answer its short questions. SEAL turns your answers into numbered items; add your own items if you need to.
- 02 Pair with the other person using a 6-character code (letters and digits, valid for 30 minutes, single use): share an invite link, show the QR code or read the code out.
- 03 The other person reviews the receipt on their own phone and approves it or uses "Suggest Edit". Once the final version is approved, the receipt is sealed.
- 04 Both of you keep the same sealed record. Its code (SEAL-XXXXXXXX) lets anyone look up its status at getseal.app/verify, and either of you can download it as a PDF.
Tips for a clear receipt
- If a deposit was paid, write the amount and whether it is refundable as its own item.
- Add the cancellation terms you agreed: how much notice, and what happens to the deposit.
- For a series of sessions, list them as items or create one receipt per session.
Questions
Will the other person get a notification?
Yes. Once you are paired and send the receipt, it lands in their "Incoming" tab with a push notification.
Can we change the time after sealing?
A sealed receipt cannot be edited. If the booking changes, create a new receipt with the new terms.
Does the client need SEAL Plus?
No. Only creating a new receipt needs SEAL Plus; reviewing and approving one is free.
